TL;DR
Software Engineering Manager (React): Leading a team of frontend engineers to build and architect the next-generation Unified Client Experience (UCX) platform with an accent on React, AWS, and micro-frontend architecture. Location: Must be based in the UK with a hybrid model (1-2 days/week in London office).
Salary: Up to £115,000

What you will do
- Recruit, lead, and mentor an agile team of 5–7 frontend engineers.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership for greenfield web application development using React and AWS.
- Define and uphold frontend engineering standards, architectural principles, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate concepts into high-quality user interfaces.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.
- Ensure applications are performant, accessible, secure, and compliant with financial regulations.
Requirements
- Must be based in the UK and eligible to work without sponsorship.
- 10+ years of commercial experience in web and frontend development.
- 4+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- High proficiency in React and AWS cloud technology stack.
- Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, including state management, micro-frontends, and accessibility.
- Experience working in fast-paced, regulated environments.
Nice to have
- Experience with GraphQL for API integration.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana.
- Strong background in design implementation using Figma.
