What you will do

• Recruit, lead, and mentor an agile team of 5–7 frontend engineers.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership for greenfield web application development using React and AWS.
• Define and uphold frontend engineering standards, architectural principles, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate concepts into high-quality user interfaces.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and production deployments.
• Ensure applications are performant, accessible, secure, and compliant with financial regulations.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK and eligible to work without sponsorship.
• 10+ years of commercial experience in web and frontend development.
• 4+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• High proficiency in React and AWS cloud technology stack.
• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, including state management, micro-frontends, and accessibility.
• Experience working in fast-paced, regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL for API integration.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana.
• Strong background in design implementation using Figma.
