What you will do

• Develop and improve the rider Android application, focusing on booking, account management, and the core user journey.
• Architect and evolve mobile infrastructure services to optimize app performance and memory management.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, user-friendly features.
• Diagnose and resolve critical production issues in live environments to minimize rider disruption.
• Mentor and guide fellow engineers through thoughtful code reviews and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience.
• Deep proficiency in Kotlin and the Android application lifecycle.
• Strong experience with Jetpack Compose and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of concurrent programming using Kotlin Coroutines or RxJava.
• Experience with Android Location Services and Google Maps API or Mapbox.
• Must be based in New York.
