Android Intern (Android)

Location: On-site in New York, NY; relocation expense coverage to NYC or San Francisco may be available if needed.

Salary: $12,500 per month plus a housing stipend.

What you will do

• Build and ship new features for the Android application.
• Work with experienced engineers on Ramp’s mobile codebase.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to create new mobile experiences.
• Use customer feedback to improve the product.
• Contribute to engineering tools and processes that support team velocity and scale.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field, with graduation expected in December 2027 or later.
• Experience with Kotlin and/or Android development through internships, coursework, or personal projects.
• Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of mobile development concepts.
• Experience building a mobile app, feature, or relevant project.
• Ability to turn product ideas into thoughtful engineering solutions.
• Willingness to learn quickly, take ownership, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Familiarity with mobile design patterns and best practices.
• Experience shipping an Android app or feature to real users.
