What you will do
- Architect and develop native Android features for browsing products and exploring detailed product information.
- Maintain, refactor, automate, and improve the performance of the mobile application.
- Review code, support release approvals, and promote high standards for testing and quality engineering.
- Use data and metrics to drive product improvements collaboratively.
- Work with quality, UX, backend/API, product, analytics, iOS, and full-stack teams.
- Mentor developers and share knowledge through code reviews, technical talks, and presentations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional Android development experience on publicly available applications.
- Strong knowledge of Android fundamentals, API integration, debugging, and memory management.
- Experience designing complex features with product managers or other stakeholders.
- Understanding of architecture patterns such as MVI, MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture, VIPER, and asynchronous programming.
- Knowledge of Material Design, Android UI/UX development, clean code, testing, and constructive code reviews.
- Work location: Boston, Massachusetts.
Nice to have
- Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and GraphQL experience.
- Ruby or similar scripting language experience.
- Cross-platform collaboration with iOS or full-stack teams.
