What you will do

• Administer prescribed IV therapies and provide associated care to patients unable to be trained to independence.
• Train and educate patients and carers on the use of infusion devices and the administration of therapies.
• Manage and care for Central Venous Access Devices (CVADs) in accordance with local policies and national guidelines.
• Participate in the on-call rota and make autonomous clinical decisions to resolve out-of-hours queries.
• Coordinate discharge management, including conducting pre-discharge and home assessment visits.
• Support the installation of new TransCare patients and ensure all relevant documentation is completed.

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with current NMC qualifications.
• Experience in Intensive Care, High Dependency, or General Surgery at a level equal to top of Band 5.
• Minimum of 2 years of current clinical experience.
• Competency in the management and delivery of Parenteral Nutrition (PN) and other IV Therapies.
• Proficiency in blood sampling and management of CVADs.
• Flexibility to travel to support Homecare patients in Exeter and surrounding areas is essential.

• Mentoring/Teaching Certificate or equivalent (must be attained within 12 months of hiring).
