Salary: USD 125,000 - 155,000 yearly

What you will do

• Troubleshoot recurring design or maintenance issues for theme park rides and shows.
• Perform re-engineering for complex mechanical, structural, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Manage capital design projects from initial scope of work through to final installation.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, and interface with external vendors and design-builders.
• Coordinate engineering activities between vendors, technicians, and ride management.
• Mentor associate-level engineers and maintain project documentation configuration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical/structural detailed design for dynamic motion systems.
• Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience in a large machine environment.
• Proficiency in Solidworks, AutoCAD, and generating technical specifications and manuals.
• Expertise in welded structures, structural steels, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with short notice.

Nice to have

• Theme Park Operations knowledge and experience.
• California Certified Professional Engineer (PE).
• Experience working within a union environment.
