What you will do

• Develop specifications, requirements, and validation plans for system-level test equipment.
• Perform detailed mechanical design of sheetmetal and machined parts.
• Define and execute verification testing to ensure high quality of mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with vendors to perform DFM and prepare final drawings and BOMs for fabrication.
• Build and validate initial prototypes to complete design verification.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of components and assemblies.

Requirements

• BS or MS in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with electro-mechanical design.
• Proficiency with Solidworks (or similar) and PDM tools.
• Experience with sheetmetal, machined part design, and general mechanism design.
• Knowledge of stress/strain analysis, FEA, and pneumatics design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with remote teams.
