What you will do

• Execute fire test plans for battery cells, modules, racks, and containerized BESS units.
• Conduct thermal runaway propagation testing per UL 9540A, NFPA 855, and IEC 62619 standards.
• Perform deflagration and dispersion tests according to NFPA 68 and 69 standards for various enclosures.
• Set up fire test instrumentation, including thermocouples, gas analyzers, and pressure sensors.
• Coordinate with third-party laboratories and internal stakeholders to oversee UL 9540A and LSFT test activities.
• Analyze and present test data in structured formats for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or Systems Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in fire testing, fire dynamics, and combustion principles.
• Hands-on experience with lithium-ion battery systems and thermal runaway testing.
• Knowledge of energy storage standards such as UL 9540A, LSFT, and NFPA.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.
• Must be based in China.
