What you will do

• Review electrical project scopes during the RFP and estimating phases.
• Develop conceptual and detailed electrical designs for energy projects including BESS, substations, and solar PV.
• Direct teams in generating design drawings and ensuring accurate material takeoffs.
• Perform technical reviews of third-party engineering packages to ensure alignment with industry and company standards.
• Collaborate with estimators, supply chain teams, and engineering partners to optimize project costs and constructability.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering from an ABET accredited college.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive engineering or construction experience in power generation, industrial, or heavy civil sectors.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, power quality, and reliability.
• Knowledge of safety standards including NESC, NEC, and NFPA.
• Ability to manage multiple project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Renewables-focused experience.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certificate.
