What you will do

• Lead the design of utility-scale solar PV and BESS systems, including layouts and electrical configurations.
• Deliver detailed DC/AC designs covering string sizing, inverter selection, and cable routing.
• Produce high-quality site layouts, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and core engineering documentation.
• Coordinate grid connection designs and review studies to ensure compliance with UK Grid Code, G99, and G100.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and provide technical specifications for procurement processes.
• Manage the handover of de-risked, robust design packages to EPC teams for construction.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience in solar PV design, specifically for utility-scale projects.
• Proficiency with PV design tools including PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Helioscope.
• Solid understanding of DC and AC system design for utility-scale solar installations.
• Strong familiarity with UK grid requirements (DNO/TSO, G99/G100).
• Experience creating technical drawings and structured engineering documentation.
• Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid setup in London, UK.
