What you will do

• Lead and oversee the Finance team, providing day-to-day operational guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and deliver monthly analysis against budget.
• Forecast revenue by product and accurately track performance against targets.
• Manage statutory compliance, tax obligations (ATO, ASIC), and external audit relationships.
• Oversee cashflow, banking activities, and financial systems including Xero.
• Establish and maintain internal financial policies, controls, and governance frameworks.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting with CA or CPA certification and up-to-date CPD.
• Significant experience in a financial leadership role within a business environment.
• Deep knowledge of technical accounting, statutory reporting, and consolidated statements.
• Strong understanding of Australian taxation rules and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel capability.
• Must be based in or have the right to work in Hobart, Australia (no visa support).

• Experience with payroll systems like Keypay and reporting tools like Spotlight.
• Background working in a growing technology or product-led business.
• Track record of improving internal controls and financial processes.
