What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of startup and SME clients, providing advisory and compliance support.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ambitious bookkeepers and accountants.
• Oversee end-to-end monthly or quarterly filings, prep, and lodgement processes.
• Represent clients confidently with the ATO.
• Provide guidance and quality control for the remote bookkeeping team.
• Drive efficiency by leveraging AI tools and proprietary software in daily workflows.

Requirements

• Must be based in Australia with valid work rights.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior bookkeeping role managing SME clients.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
• Proficiency with Xero Practice Manager, Dext, and A2X.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex matters simply.
