What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ambitious bookkeepers and accountants.
• Manage a portfolio of startup and SME clients, serving as their primary expert for advisory and compliance.
• Own the end-to-end monthly and quarterly filings preparation and lodgement process with the ATO.
• Scale internal processes and establish high standards for bookkeeping excellence.
• Provide guidance and quality control for the remote bookkeeping team to ensure clean books.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior bookkeeping role managing SME portfolios (companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders).
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team of bookkeepers.
• Proficiency with Xero Practice Manager, Dext, A2X, and other accounting operations tools.
• Must hold valid Australian work rights and be based in Australia.
• Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows for greater efficiency.
