Assistant Corporate Counsel (Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid - Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite

Salary: $145,000–$170,000 Annually

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements for purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and software licenses.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal risks associated with supplier relationships and product liability.
• Resolve contract-related claims and disputes with vendors and suppliers.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and procurement teams to provide actionable, business-focused legal advice.
• Develop and improve legal department processes and tools to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Monitor emerging legal and regulatory trends impacting supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with a state bar, preferably New York.
• Over five (5) years of legal experience in supply chain, procurement, and commercial transactions.
• Deep knowledge of contract law, the UCC, and international trade regulations.
• Proven ability to manage complex commercial agreements and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulations specific to aerospace, defense, and industrial industries.
• Knowledge of government contracting and compliance (e.g., FAR/DFARS).
• Experience using contract lifecycle management (CLM) software.
