TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Buffalo, NY (Must live local to the area)

Salary: $145,000–$170,000 Annually

What you will do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements for purchasing, logistics, and software licenses.
  • Identify and manage legal risks associated with supplier relationships and product liability.
  • Resolve contract-related claims and disputes with vendors and suppliers.
  • Provide business-focused legal advice to Finance, IT, and procurement teams.
  • Improve legal department processes and tools to increase scalability and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of a state bar (preferably New York).
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, and commercial transactions.
  • Deep knowledge of contract law, commercial law (UCC), and international trade regulations.
  • Must be based in the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

Nice to have

  • Experience with aerospace, defense, or industrial industry regulations.
  • Knowledge of government contracting and compliance (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software.
