Manufacturing Technical Supervisor (Operations) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Penang, Malaysia; rotating 12-hour shifts may be required.

What you will do

• Lead technicians responsible for manufacturing operations, equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and tool performance.
• Own safety, quality, scheduling, staffing, conflict resolution, and operational issue response for the assigned area.
• Coordinate work flow across factories, groups, and divisions to meet production schedules, quality targets, and cost objectives.
• Manage workstation assignments, shift rotations, training, vacations, breaks, overtime, and coverage for absent employees.
• Develop long-term manufacturing operations capabilities and ensure staffing certification levels support wafer ramp requirements.
• Work with engineering teams to resolve problems affecting factory operations and health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 0–1+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience based on business needs.
• Knowledge of manufacturing management processes aligned with safety and quality standards.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing methodologies, process optimization, manufacturing equipment, and operational problem-solving.
• Ability to manage evolving production demands and rotating 12-hour shifts.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree and exposure to semiconductor manufacturing or similar fields.
• Experience as an engineer, team lead, or supervisor with responsibility for developing teams.
• Familiarity with manufacturing data science tools, SQL, statistical methods, and workflow automation.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working across functional teams.
