What you will do

• Lead and manage a team of technicians focusing on equipment maintenance, repair, and factory operations.
• Ensure production schedules are met while adhering to strict quality, safety, and cost objectives.
• Optimize factory workflow and streamline operational processes between groups and divisions.
• Oversee staffing, shift rotations, training plans, and performance management for direct reports.
• Act as the first responder for on-shift technical issues and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve operational bottlenecks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics) or a related technical discipline.
• Must be able to maintain a regular onsite presence in Penang, Malaysia.
• Proficiency in manufacturing management processes per Safety/Quality standards.
• Demonstrable experience with LEAN manufacturing methodologies and process optimization strategies.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and operational problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree with professional exposure to semiconductor manufacturing.
• Previous experience as an engineer, team lead, or supervisor.
• Familiarity with manufacturing-focused data science tools, SQL, and statistical methods.
• Ability to manage 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis.
