Engineer II, Manufacturing Engineering (Manufacturing Processes/Continuous Improvement): Optimizing high-volume manufacturing processes in a Kulim plant with an accent on process quality, production efficiency, risk evaluation, and cost reduction. Focus on developing FMEAs and control plans, analyzing workflows and equipment layouts, solving production issues through root cause analysis, and coordinating improvement projects.
Location: Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia; onsite manufacturing plant role

What you will do
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Analyze workflows, plan production space, and design equipment layouts to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Establish testing methods, validate process capabilities, and define product and process quality standards.
- Provide data-driven manufacturing insights, prepare trend reports, and develop risk-based solutions to reduce production issues and support On-Time Shipment targets.
- Lead FMEA development and updates, review specifications, and implement changes for inquiries and project work.
- Coordinate manufacturing projects, meetings, analysis, and reporting while communicating with stakeholders across levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role with exposure to manufacturing and production processes.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, Process FMEA, and Control Plan development.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and use Microsoft Office and related tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and lead discussions.
Nice to have
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience.
- Customer CAR 8D report-writing experience.
- For a Senior Engineer scope, 5–7 years of experience is expected.
