TL;DR
Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering (Sputter Process) (Sputter Process/Manufacturing): Planning and coordinating sputter system activities, troubleshooting process issues, and leading improvement projects to increase utilization, yield, and quality with an accent on process compliance, SPC monitoring, and new product and machine qualification. Focus on supervising and training junior engineers and technicians, improving sputter processes, and solving recurring manufacturing and yield problems.
Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite at Bayan Lepas PN2

What you will do
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on sputter system start-up, conversion, documentation, and process characterization activities.
- Audit sputter parameters and procedures, including online SPC monitoring and process conformance.
- Lead troubleshooting and sustaining activities to improve sputter utilization, downtime, yield, and quality.
- Lead process improvement projects covering new products, machines, process qualifications, cost, quality, PPH, FMEA, and related objectives.
- Supervise, coach, and train process technicians, junior engineers, engineering specialists, and characterization technicians.
- Work with shift process and yield teams on sputter process and yield improvement, including 0725 Operation Yield Improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or Physics.
- 3–5 years of experience in sputter process engineering, preferably in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
- Knowledge of metrology principles, techniques, and industry standards such as ISO and ASTM.
- Strong analytical, statistical analysis, data interpretation, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, technical report writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and follow safety and health rules.

- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
