What you will do

• Lead legal and business affairs support across all stages of unscripted development and production.
• Negotiate and draft agreements with talent, showrunners, producers, and key production personnel.
• Provide legal advice on compliance, defamation, privacy, and OFCOM/BCS regulatory standards.
• Manage format rights, licensing agreements, and chain of title for third-party and internal formats.
• Negotiate commissioning agreements with UK and international broadcasters and streaming platforms.
• Drive duty-of-care frameworks and contributor welfare policies across all productions.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with substantial experience in unscripted TV production.
• Strong expertise in negotiating talent, production, licensing, and commissioning agreements.
• Deep understanding of UK unscripted industry norms, rights issues, and duty-of-care obligations.
• Experience within a major broadcaster, streamer, production company, or top-tier law firm.
• Familiarity with production financing structures, co-pro models, and global rights exploitation.
