Technical Assurance Lead (Military Deafness)

Location: Hybrid, Birmingham, United Kingdom. Applicants must hold British Citizenship and have no restrictions on working in the UK.

What you will do

• Conduct technical audits of file handling against internal standards and client service level agreements.
• Review documents, evidence, claim strategy, investigative actions, and reserving for Military Deafness and NIHL claims, including Ogden.
• Identify incorrect actions, financial leakage, quality issues, trends, and business risks.
• Provide clear oral and written feedback, audit reports, recommendations, and remedial action plans.
• Support training, upskilling, mentoring, and the continual improvement of technical performance across teams.

Requirements

• Understanding of NIHL claims; specific Military Deafness claims experience is not essential.
• Experience running an NIHL caseload.
• Strong communication, report-writing, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to target while remaining calm, fair, objective, and attentive to detail.
• Good IT skills and the ability to provide sensitive, constructive feedback.
• British Citizenship is required due to national security requirements, with no restrictions on working in the UK.
