Production Broadcast Engineer (Broadcast)

Production Broadcast Engineer (Broadcast): Providing front-line technical support and engineering for live sports broadcasts within studios and control rooms with an accent on system troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and system integration. Focus on ensuring day-of-air reliability, managing complex signal flows, and deploying SMPTE 2110 standards in a 24x7 environment.

Location: Must be based in Stamford, CT (Required On-Site)

What you will do

• Perform system-level troubleshooting of control rooms, studio equipment, and associated computer systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on broadcast hardware to ensure stability for live programs.
• Collaborate with production teams to implement technical solutions and assist with studio setup.
• Install and update equipment software and repair hardware to the module level.
• Manage projects involving system design, integration, and commissioning.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a television broadcast environment.
• BS degree in Engineering, Communications, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Stamford, CT.
• Ability to support a 24x7 production environment, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency with broadcast production systems including audio consoles, switchers, and wireless audio.

Nice to have

• Experience with Sony cameras, EVS Servers, Evertz, Grass Valley, or Calrec consoles.
• Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 standards, 1080P, and 4K HDR production.
• Experience with Avid Media Composer, Avid Interplay, or Chyron graphic systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for system design.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networks and HDSDI.
