What you will do

• Act as the primary on-site technical interface and day-to-day contact for optical component vendors in Asia.
• Coordinate development, fabrication, assembly, and delivery activities for optical components.
• Provide hands-on support to identify and resolve integration, manufacturing, and yield issues.
• Define and track component build plans, including samples, data delivery, and schedules.
• Review and validate vendor process flows, inspection data, and test results for consistency.
• Manage component qualification and change control activities, including process deviations and rework.

Requirements

• Experience in optical component supply, FAE, NPI, or manufacturing engineering roles.
• Proven track record in process qualification, pilot builds, or production ramps of optical components.
• Working knowledge of optical assemblies (fibers, lenses, FAUs, laser modules) and related manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with optical performance metrics such as insertion loss and alignment tolerance.
• Experience managing external vendors or contract manufacturers, preferably within Asia.
• Ability to work across time zones with U.S.-based engineering teams.
