TL;DR
Foundry Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift (Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Systems): Maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment in an on-site foundry with an accent on electrical/electronic systems, mechanical components, PLC programming, and safety procedures. Focus on diagnosing complex equipment malfunctions, restoring production equipment to operation, and performing preventive maintenance during the second shift.

Location: On-site at the Franklin, New Hampshire manufacturing facility. Standard hours are 2:10 pm–12:40 am, with up to 10% travel for training as needed.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and maintain required equipment performance and maintenance records.
  • Advise operators and line mechanics on safe equipment operation and communicate potential technical problems and hazards.
  • Support technical troubleshooting, train maintenance personnel when needed, and handle additional assignments from the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with high proficiency in these areas.
  • Computer operation experience and PLC programming skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic components, equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work professionally with operators, maintenance personnel, management, and other employees.
  • Ability to work overtime, maintain high precision, follow applicable codes and safety procedures, stand for extended periods, move around the manufacturing floor, and lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.

Nice to have

  • Experience with cutting, welding, and fabrication.
  • Ability to cover other shifts.
