Senior Legal Counsel – Product & Distribution EMEA (German/Italian speaker)

Location: Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, or London, United Kingdom; employees are expected to work at least four full days each week in the advertised office.

What you will do

• Lead legal work for client agreements across EMEA, including investment management mandates and strategic partnership agreements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated documentation with major international counterparties.
• Advise Product, Distribution, Regulatory, and other business teams on legal and regulatory matters.
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting investment products and distribution and provide practical advice.
• Assess legal risks associated with new strategies, products, initiatives, corporate matters, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the global Legal group in a solutions-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Strong post-qualification legal experience in asset management, financial services, or a leading law firm.
• Solid knowledge of MiFID investment services, regulated funds, and the broader financial services regulatory framework.
• Experience advising asset management or investment businesses and negotiating with sophisticated counterparties.
• Legal qualification in a common-law jurisdiction, with eligibility to practice in the UK; a civil-law qualification is advantageous.
• Excellent English and business-level German or Italian.
• Commercial awareness, independent ownership, strong communication, sound judgment, and a pragmatic approach to complex matters.
