TL;DR
Senior Legal Counsel (Asset Management): Leading legal work for client agreements and distribution activities across EMEA with an accent on investment management mandates and strategic partnership agreements. Location: Henley-on-Thames, UK. Must be based in or eligible to practice in the UK. Hybrid (spending at least four full days each week in the office).

What you will do
- Lead and oversee legal work for EMEA client agreements, including investment management mandates and strategic partnerships.
- Draft and negotiate sophisticated legal documentation with large international counterparties.
- Support EMEA Product and Distribution teams on complex legal and regulatory matters.
- Monitor regulatory developments impacting products and distribution to provide business-focused advice.
- Advise on legal risks associated with new strategies, products, and corporate initiatives.
- Collaborate with global Legal and Regulatory teams to maintain a solutions-oriented culture.
Requirements
- Significant post-qualification legal experience within asset management, financial services, or a top-tier law firm.
- Solid understanding of MiFID investment services and regulated funds frameworks.
- Legal qualification in a common-law jurisdiction with eligibility to practice in the UK.
- Proven experience managing negotiations with sophisticated counterparties.
- Proficiency in English at a professional level.
Nice to have
- Additional qualification in civil law.
- Business-level proficiency in German or Italian.
- Experience working across both common law and civil law systems.
