Legal Counsel

Location: Hybrid role based between home and the Dundee headquarters, Scotland, United Kingdom, with regular office attendance

What you will do

• Lead commercial contract reviews and negotiations, providing practical, business-focused legal advice.
• Act as a trusted legal adviser and partner to stakeholders across the organisation.
• Support the protection and management of the intellectual property portfolio.
• Advise on data protection, governance, compliance, and risk matters.
• Help implement legal technology and improve legal processes.
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives with colleagues across the UK, Canada, Singapore, and other jurisdictions.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Qualified in Scottish and/or English law; dual qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in commercial law, data protection, intellectual property, governance, or risk.
• Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Commercial judgement, pragmatic problem-solving, curiosity, and confidence to challenge constructively.
