Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Universal City, California (Hybrid: 4 days per week in-office required).

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Review, analyze, draft, and negotiate below-the-line and talent production agreements.
• Handle physical production-related documents including location, lease, and vendor contracts.
• Interpret complex contracts to provide accurate legal advice on potential risks.
• Conduct independent chain-of-title research for motion picture projects.
• Manage unsolicited material submissions for the motion picture group.
• Formulate and revise standard department drafting templates.

Requirements

• JD degree from an accredited law school required.
• Active member of the California Bar or registered as in-house counsel.
• Minimum 1+ years of legal experience in a motion picture, television, or entertainment law firm.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
