What you will do

• Partner with bureau leadership to manage the DC desk assistant program and scheduling.
• Support daily newsgathering activities and serve as a liaison for facilities and IT.
• Coordinate credentialing needs including passports and visas for beat teams.
• Organize employee engagement events, town halls, and well-being initiatives.
• Oversee office space, desk assignments, and bureau tours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of newsroom experience.
• Experience with Washington newsgathering or news production management.
• Proven ability to manage and develop early-career journalists.
• Must be available to work nights and weekends during breaking news.
• Must be able to work from the office at least four days per week.
