EHS Manager (Media & Entertainment)

What you will do

• Act as the primary EHS expert for operating groups to protect employees and ensure legal compliance.
• Assess and abate health and safety hazards while ensuring strict compliance with OSHA and Cal-OSHA requirements.
• Lead injury and illness investigations, conducting root cause analysis and maintaining associated record keeping.
• Manage the Inspections Program and perform detailed safety risk assessments of various operations.
• Oversee monthly Safety Team meetings, develop content, and conduct health and safety training.
• Manage the Contractor Safety Program and interact with government agencies such as Cal/OSHA, FAA, and DHS.

Requirements

• Must be based in or be able to work on-site full-time in Universal City, California.
• Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience leading health and safety programs and projects.
• Strong understanding of the legislative structure of OSHA and Cal-OSHA.
• Proficiency with enterprise software and Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in EHS, engineering, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification.
• Experience working with Gensuite.
• 1-5 years of experience in the media, entertainment, or film industry.
