What you will do

• Own market growth end-to-end, delivering ambitious MAU and ARR targets for South Africa.
• Develop and execute a multi-year country strategy based on local user insights and market dynamics.
• Build high-impact partnerships across education institutions, government bodies, enterprise, and NGOs.
• Collaborate with global teams to localize product, pricing, and content for the local market.
• Recruit, lead, and coach a high-performing local team of A-players.
• Act as the public face of Canva through press, events, and community engagements.

Requirements

• Experience launching, scaling, or leading a market for a global tech/SaaS company or as a founder.
• Demonstrated track record of building and monetizing strategic partnerships.
• Strong commercial instincts and ability to own numbers and growth KPIs.
• Proven ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Must be based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
