What you will do

• Research and identify new materials, yarns, fibers, and finishes for product development.
• Design and draft weave structures, including specifications for picks and ends per inch.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to troubleshoot production issues and address product development challenges.
• Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing for fibers, polymers, and yarns.
• Act as a technical advisor to Quality Assurance and Design teams regarding manufacturing and testing.
• Ensure all products meet rigorous technical and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in textile engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
• Deep knowledge of textile technology, fabric construction, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to draft weave constructions and understand physical/flammability testing standards (ISO/ACT).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be able to travel as needed for tradeshows and resource visits.
