What you will do

• Oversee the repair, refurbishment, and replacement of injection mold tooling.
• Evaluate mold designs to ensure cost-effectiveness, durability, and adherence to specifications.
• Lead all tooling transfers and new tool builds, including validation processes.
• Manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for complex mold design and build programs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to troubleshoot molding and tooling issues.
• Analyze technical data and manufacturing limitations to recommend design improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in the field.
• Practical knowledge of mold making, injection molding processes, and Scientific Injection Molding concepts.
• Understanding of mold building, including machining tolerances, steels, heat treating, and plating.
• General knowledge of applicable FDA and ISO guidelines.
• Strong project management skills and proficiency in MS Office and Microsoft Project.

Nice to have

• Experience with process and/or product validation.
• Basic knowledge of CAD software.
