Account Manager

TL;DR

Account Manager (Research Intelligence): Partner with academic and research stakeholders to drive revenue growth, improve client satisfaction, and support renewals for scientific databases and solutions with an accent on consultative solution-selling and strategic account planning. Focus on building long-term relationships, executing annual account plans, and using sales enablement tools to forecast and adjust actions.

Location: Taiwan (Taichung preferred or Taipei), with domestic business travel requirements

What you will do

• Achieve revenue targets for a portfolio of scientific databases and solutions (e.g., Scopus, SciVal, Pure, Analytical services, LeapSpace).
• Call on key stakeholders, deliver customer support and value-added services, and drive retention and renewal.
• Use a consultative approach to understand client needs and translate them into realistic propositions and solution packages.
• Develop and execute focused account strategies, including annual account planning and coordination with other account managers when required.
• Maintain accurate CRM data in Salesforce and review sales results/forecasts using tools such as Clari to adjust actions.
• Gather competitor and market information, provide market feedback for product development and go-to-market strategy, and participate in trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in sales or a related field.
• Proven track record selling technology and solutions.
• Ability to operate at operational, tactical, and strategic levels.
• Experience with strategic account planning and expanding business within customer institutions.
• Knowledge of Research Intelligence solution areas and experience with complex solution-sales (consultative selling).
• Experience working in or with research administration and management functions, including knowledge of regional/national research programs and collaboration networks.
