Software Engineer with an ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship is REQUIRED) (AI/ML)

Location: Onsite in Fort Worth, Texas 76108, United States; no relocation package

Salary: $50–$100 per hour on W2; no health benefits or paid PTO during the contract.

What you will do

• Define and implement architectures for automated systems and big-data ecosystems.
• Develop automated data pipelines for transformation, aggregation, and anomaly detection.
• Architect local, distributed, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Translate stakeholder needs into technical architectures, design specifications, and executable plans.
• Develop proof-of-concept prototypes, participate in design reviews, and support system integration and qualification events.
• Integrate AI/ML models into operational data flows and validate system performance.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance and US citizenship are required.
• Onsite work in Fort Worth, Texas is required.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with C# or C++, or 2+ years of experience with Rust.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• Experience level aligned with BS plus 9–15 years or MS plus 7–13 years of experience.
• Experience with system architecture, APIs, design patterns, clean architecture, and test-driven development.

Nice to have

• Experience designing distributed systems using shared memory, gRPC, sockets, or REST.
• Experience with Hadoop, Iceberg, Impala, Trino, S3-compatible protocols, SeaweedFS, or MinIO.
• 5+ years of Python experience and knowledge of object-oriented or data-oriented design.
• Familiarity with airborne sensing and tracking systems, including radar, electronic warfare, or electro-optical systems.
