Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright (Night Shift) (CNC)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; night shift with flexibility for varied hours, weekends, and overtime as required.

Salary: CAD 40.00–43.00 per hour, plus a CAD 1.50 per hour night-shift premium.

What you will do

• Repair, install, and troubleshoot CNC, numerically controlled, and wood-processing machinery.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Diagnose equipment issues using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, servo, and technical documentation knowledge.
• Collaborate with management, engineering, vendors, and operations on equipment specifications and setup.
• Support quality inspections, parts purchasing, shop-floor controls, ISO procedures, and continuous improvement.
• Train apprentices and junior maintenance associates while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Requirements

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed Millwright certification to work in Ontario as an industrial millwright.
• At least five years of related experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including machine shop experience.
• Strong knowledge of electronic controls, pneumatics, hydraulics, high-speed machines, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches, OEM manuals, and related technical data.
• Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, work under pressure, and wear required PPE in a noisy, dusty, and hot manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of CNC and servo systems.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
