Senior Revenue Accountant (SaaS)

Location: North Carolina, USA

Salary: $79,100–$139,100 per year, with potential commission or performance-based bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Support SaaS revenue recognition and ensure revenue and related balance sheet accounts comply with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Review and validate revenue data in RevPro and process contract modifications, revenue adjustments, and journal entries.
• Prepare journal entries, perform revenue analyses, and support the monthly close process.
• Reconcile deferred revenue, contract assets, unbilled revenue, and other revenue-related accounts.
• Maintain internal revenue controls and support internal and external audits.
• Assist with system updates, new product evaluations, acquisitions, and internal reporting initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; a master’s degree is a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience in revenue recognition or related accounting roles.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Sales, Product, and Audit teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
• Advanced Excel-based data analysis skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification and/or public accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ASC 606 for SaaS revenue models.
• Experience with SFDC, RevPro or Zuora Revenue, and Workday.
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling.
