What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 20 engineers, managing staffing and performance.
• Define and control project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and technical baselines.
• Contribute directly to active projects, including circuit design and hardware verification, for roughly 50% of the time.
• Guide products through full lifecycle phases from design and verification to production and sustainment.
• Collaborate with program leadership, customers, and suppliers to ensure mission-critical requirements are met.
• Ensure adherence to rigorous engineering processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years of electronics design experience in aerospace or defense industries.
• 5+ years of people or technical leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience with analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, and hardware verification.
• Familiarity with MIL/avionics standards (MIL-STD, DO-160, AS9100).
• Ability to obtain and maintain active security clearance (ITAR awareness required).

Nice to have

• Experience with low-SWaP and ruggedized design for harsh environments.
• Familiarity with DO-178/DO-254 safety-critical software/hardware concepts.
• Experience in supplier management and contract evaluation.
