What you will do

• Develop long-term software strategies and roadmaps for the TeraWave satellite constellation.
• Recruit, structure, and mentor a high-performing software engineering team for flight and terminal software.
• Lead the design, development, and validation of embedded software for optical and RF communication payloads.
• Collaborate with hardware, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure software reliability and space-grade compliance.
• Define software architecture from initial prototyping through to high-volume production.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.
• 10+ years of experience in software development, including 6+ years in technical leadership.
• 4+ years of experience in space flight avionics or software development.
• Proven success bringing complex connected software from prototype to production deployment.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in software or electrical engineering.
• Experience with satellite communications and bus software.
• Experience with software and data security.
