What you will do

• Direct the execution of Systems Engineering tasks, ensuring technical oversight and fiscal and schedule performance.
• Lead the Lead to Award (L2A) process through proposal writing, solution review, and costing.
• Manage departmental resources, including training and career development for direct and secondary reports.
• Drive continuous improvement of department performance through process optimization and tool development.
• Monitor and implement Systems Engineering industry trends and best practices.
• Communicate status and strategic goals to the Engineering Director and Senior Leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering discipline and 5 years in defense programs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a US DoD Security Clearance.
• Experience with Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Hardware/Software Integration.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work overtime and be on call 24/7 for critical problem resolution.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering.
• Previous experience as a Systems Engineering Manager.
