What you will do

• Design cutting tools, fixtures, gages, and automation support tooling using Siemens NX.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing and Product Engineers to ensure designs meet production requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings for internal model shops or external suppliers.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies in cutting tools and work holding.
• Coordinate with shop floor teams to ensure machining and assembly constraints are addressed.
• Manage tool workflow processes using Jira.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Buffalo, NY.
• Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
• Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology with 2+ years of experience, or 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
• Proficiency in CAD drafting and design.
• Working knowledge of precision machine shop practices and GD&T.
• Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and within cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with quick change fixturing and automation support tooling.
• Lean belt certification or a strong Lean mindset.
• Leadership skills to drive standardized work.
