What you will do

• Build, improve, and productionize machine learning and optimization systems for marketplace routing and allocation.
• Define success metrics and evaluate model performance to drive business outcomes.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Applied Science teams to frame problems and align on technical approaches.
• Write and maintain production-quality Python and SQL code for model deployment and monitoring.
• Identify system limitations and improve fairness, reliability, and explainability in decision systems.

Requirements

• Experience in applied science or data science, specifically with production systems driving business decisions.
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating machine learning models in production.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong statistical, mathematical, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in Mexico City.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale marketplace systems and observability.
• Experience with Bayesian modeling frameworks like PyMC.
• Experience using dbt or similar data modeling workflows.
