Senior Machine Learning Scientist (AI)

Location: Dublin, Ireland. Hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office. Relocation support is available for moves to the offices.

What you will do

• Identify customer and product opportunities where machine learning can create value.
• Frame product problems and select appropriate algorithms, tools, and technologies.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, research, and offline evaluations to assess model effectiveness.
• Develop prototypes and work with engineers to bring successful models into production.
• Plan experiments, measure customer impact, and share learnings to guide iteration.
• Partner with Product, Design, engineering, and ML product engineering teams to build ML products.

Requirements

• Broad applied machine learning knowledge and 3–5 years of applied ML experience.
• Practical statistics knowledge, including experiment design and handling confounding factors.
• Intermediate programming skills and the ability to conduct scientific research.
• Strong communication skills across engineering and multidisciplinary teams.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and applying pragmatic problem-solving.
• Advanced education in machine learning or a related field, typically an MSc.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping machine learning products.
• PhD or experience in a research environment.
• Expertise in NLP, deep learning, Bayesian methods, reinforcement learning, or clustering.
• Strong statistics or mathematics background, plus visualization, data, SQL, or matplotlib skills.
