TL;DR

Front Office Operations Manager (ETF & Index Equity): Responsible for day-to-day portfolio implementation and monitoring for index strategies with an accent on accurate execution of rebalances and cash activity. Focus on maintaining tight control over index tracking, tolerances, and exceptions to ensure compliant execution.

Location: Hybrid (Downers Grove, Illinois) - must be based in the US

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000

What you will do

  • Execute and monitor portfolio rebalances, cash flows, and index/model updates across Index accounts.
  • Perform daily oversight of positions, exposures, cash, and tracking error, escalating issues as needed.
  • Monitor and resolve guideline breaches, exceptions, and data discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Trading on implementation timing, liquidity constraints, and execution sequencing.
  • Support new account onboarding and mandate changes from an implementation perspective.
  • Coach junior team members and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience in portfolio implementation and/or index operations.
  • Strong understanding of rebalancing mechanics, index tracking, and guideline monitoring.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-volume environments.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong execution discipline.
  • Must comply with the workplace model, spending at least four full days each week working in the Downers Grove office.
