TL;DR

Transformation and Readiness Manager (Aerospace): Leading strategic operational initiatives for missile and turret system production with an accent on manufacturing readiness, error prevention, and Lean maturity. Focus on scaling execution, stabilizing processes, and driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure high-reliability delivery at rate.

Location: Onsite in Salt Lake City, UT

Salary: $140,000–$180,000

What you will do

  • Own the production readiness pipeline for new ramps, transitions, and rate capability.
  • Lead error prevention systems including PFMEA, pre-mortem analysis, and poke-yoke.
  • Drive structured problem-solving for high-impact technical issues.
  • Develop and coach the Lean Support Officer to embed Lean governance.
  • Collaborate with Value Stream Managers and Engineering to improve manufacturability and design tolerancing.
  • Align supply chain readiness with internal production requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing operations.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in operational readiness, Lean, and structured problem solving.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Salt Lake City, UT.
  • Must have access to U.S. export-controlled information.
  • Proven track record of stabilizing processes and improving performance through systems.
