VP of Production (Aerospace)

Location: Playa Vista, California; in-person five days per week. Candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals under 22 C.F.R. § 120.15, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Salary: $275,000–$325,000, plus annual performance-based bonuses and meaningful equity.

hirify.global is an orbital logistics company building reusable Earth-return vehicles for in-space manufacturing, on-orbit warehousing, global delivery, defense, commercial cargo, research, and critical aid missions.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end production strategy and execution for reusable return vehicles.
• Scale manufacturing processes from low-rate prototype builds to repeatable production.
• Lead production planning, scheduling, capacity management, and operational reporting.
• Oversee manufacturing engineering, quality systems, and shop floor operations.
• Build and lead a production organization of technicians and manufacturing engineers.
• Partner with engineering on design for manufacturability and manage production suppliers and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in aerospace, manufacturing, or a related engineering discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or operations leadership, including 5+ years in executive leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success scaling hardware production in aerospace, automotive, or similarly complex manufacturing environments.
• Deep experience with manufacturing processes, supply chain, quality systems, and production planning.
• Strong record of building and leading production teams, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or hardware manufacturing.
• Experience with both government and commercial production programs.
• Startup experience or familiarity with fast-paced, high-growth environments.
