What you will do
- Monitor dispatch, access control, alarm, and video surveillance systems; review threat reports and assist with security operations and law enforcement communication.
- Troubleshoot and accurately report card access and door control system issues.
- Use CAD, radio, access control, fire/burglar alarm, and video monitoring tools to support requests, emergencies, and incidents.
- Activate mass notification systems and generate written alerts; escalate and disseminate incident information to management.
- Conduct initial threat review and contact law enforcement per established procedures; process urgent information requests.
- Maintain call records, activity logs, and security system audits; coordinate security responses and liaise with vendors.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or work experience demonstrating performance competency; prior public safety, military, or security officer experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- First aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to certify within 30 days of hire.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to de-escalate and solve problems professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to manage multiple duties while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures written in English; proficient with Microsoft Office and company computer systems.
