SOC Operator (Cybersecurity)

Location: Los Angeles, California; on-site

Salary: $28–$30 per hour

Provides security operations support with the role embedded at a global technology and entertainment company.

What you will do

• Monitor security, communications, fire/life safety, surveillance, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Respond to security and life-safety alarms, emergency calls, intercom communications, and critical events.
• Provide clear directions and guidance to employees and security staff during emergencies.
• Escalate complaints, unusual events, and critical information to designated contacts.
• Document routine and unusual events through shift reports, pass-down logs, and incident reports.
• Monitor equipment and communication systems, report failures, and make emergency notifications according to site procedures.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a security control center environment.
• Working proficiency with web-based social media platforms, search tools, productivity applications, and communication technology.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information and communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
• Strong communication, diplomacy, and inclusive collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Security Studies, or a related field.
• Multilingual capabilities.
