Developer Experience Engineering Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Own and evolve the end-to-end DevEx Platform, including monorepo strategy, CI/CD systems, and build performance.
• Drive improvements in engineering velocity by reducing PR lead times and increasing CI reliability.
• Lead the adoption of agentic AI workflows across the coding, testing, debugging, and ops lifecycle.
• Build and manage a high-performing engineering team, establishing technical direction and accountability.
• Partner with infrastructure, ML, and research teams to remove friction in training and experimentation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of technical engineering experience with proficiency in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• 5+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
• Deep expertise in build systems (e.g., Bazel), CI/CD, and monorepo management.
• Proven track record of improving productivity for organizations with 100+ engineers.
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View, California.

• Familiarity with AI/ML development workflows and training systems.
• Experience integrating AI tools into software development lifecycles.
• Background in high-performance or large-scale compute environments.
• Strong systems thinking across performance and reliability.
