Senior Software Engineer, Security Platform (AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, or Menlo Park, California, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $196,000–$230,000 USD annually for Zone 1 locations; additional compensation may include bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Build backend services and data pipelines that securely store, process, and route customer data.
• Develop token issuance, authentication, anonymization, and privacy-preserving data systems.
• Define authentication capabilities for AI platforms, intelligent agents, and MCP ecosystems.
• Implement data retention and deletion workflows aligned with CCPA and GDPR.
• Partner with access management, infrastructure, and data engineering teams to enforce least-privilege access.
• Build monitoring and auditing systems that track data access and usage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend systems, data infrastructure, or security.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience building and operating services in cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with distributed systems, databases, messaging systems, or data processing frameworks such as PostgreSQL, Kafka, Spark, or Snowflake.
• Understanding of encryption, secure data handling, and privacy-focused system design.
• Ability to work from the Bellevue or Menlo Park office at least 3 days per week.
