What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot the SEL Disturbance Monitoring event collection system and communications protocols.
• Configure new sites for event collection, including VPN tunnels and port maps.
• Provide real-time event data support to minimize return-to-service time for impacted substations.
• Manage the replacement of aging Remote Automation Controllers and obsolescent PLC or relay equipment.
• Collaborate on the rollout of new NERC standards and operational technology (OT) initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams on software protocols for data and event communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in PLCs, SCADA integration, networking, or substation equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to network communications and SCADA systems.
• Location: Must be based in Salt Lake City, UT.
• Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% (35% in the first year).
