What you will do

• Lead and develop the Professional Risks team with a focus on construction-related claims.
• Manage a broad range of insured and uninsured matters, including professional liability and property damage.
• Provide high-level coverage advice on claims ranging from small matters to multi-million-pound disputes.
• Drive business development and relationship management with insurers, brokers, and internal partners.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior solicitors within the practice.
• Contribute to strategic planning, service expansion, and the firm's wider profile.

Requirements

• Significant experience defending liability claims, ideally within a construction or built environment context.
• Strong expertise in policy coverage advice and the legal-insurance interface.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with insurers and brokers.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership, supervision, and professional development.
• Commercial, pragmatic judgement and confidence in business development.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Manchester office.
