TL;DR

Manager, IS Systems Development and Support (Fintech): Leading the modernization of core financial systems and managing technical teams with an accent on legacy platform transformation, cloud migration, and AI-native integration. Focus on driving strategic technical direction, resource planning, and ensuring operational reliability for critical transfer agency systems.

Location: Must have current work authorization for Canada. Role is based in Toronto (moving to Mississauga in late 2026) with flexible hybrid/remote options.

Salary: $158,000 – $182,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Lead the modernization of legacy core systems into resilient, agile, and AI-native platforms.
  • Manage a group of technical resources including Senior Technical Analysts and Software Developers.
  • Oversee project budgets, financial planning, and resource allocation for modernization initiatives.
  • Act as the IS owner for assigned projects, ensuring design, development, and deployment meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with long-term business vision.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Must have current work authorization for Canada.
  • University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of application development management experience within the Financial Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience.
  • Experience leading modernization of legacy platforms, including cloud migration and API enablement.
  • Hands-on experience with agile methodology.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of PROGRESS OpenEdge.
  • Experience in transfer agency systems.
