What you will do

• Provide technical and strategic leadership to software engineering teams managing critical financial applications.
• Oversee the integration of legacy mainframe systems with modern cloud platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Define and execute the engineering roadmap aligned with business priorities and product goals.
• Manage and mentor engineering leaders to facilitate career growth and succession planning.
• Drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality, secure, and customer-centric service delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading large-scale mainframe application development and cloud integration in highly regulated financial industries.
• Deep understanding of security, compliance, and risk management within financial systems.
• Successful track record of delivering end-to-end projects from inception through production.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams in a fast-paced, geographically diverse environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience with technologies such as PLI, Cobol, IMS, DB2, CICS, Java, Python, and test automation frameworks.
• Extensive development management experience in the Wealth Management space.
• Knowledge of US or Canadian tax processing regulations.
• Experience transforming teams from waterfall to Agile frameworks.
